Siemens dishwasher error code E04

One of the alphanumeric combinations, pointing on the issues with electronic com-ponents of your Siemens dishwashing appliance is the E04 Error Code. If you see it on the display of your device, it means that there is a malfunction of the water sensor. No need to panic, as the sensor, can be easily replaced, though there can be one more explanation for the E04 Error Code.

What can cause the E04 Error?

Besides the failure of the water-level sensor, the same error can be caused by the clog of the nozzles, which do not let the water get into the device properly. It may seem insignificant, but the clogged nozzles can lead to serious breakages of other elements of your device, so they have to be cleaned as soon as possible.

Another explanation for the E04 Error code occurrence on the screen is the one-time system glitch or a malfunction of the control module, which is better to be pro-fessionally diagnosed.

How to fix the E04 Error?

To eliminate the system glitch out of the list of possible reasons, reboot your machine. After it had rested for 10 minutes, turn it back on and check whether the code is still indicated. If so, start with exploring the nozzles of your device. Disconnect them and rinse thoroughly, clean with special brushes or toothpick, to remove even the small clogs.

Now attach the nozzles back and try to run a test cycle. If the code has disappeared, you can use your device but do not forget to periodically check the nozzles, as well as hosepipe and the filter of your appliance and rinse them from time to time.

If the code is still displayed on the panel, you should check the flow sensor. First of all, clean all the oxidized contacts and wires, replace the ones that are burnt-out, and examine the sensor itself with the multimeter. If it is out of order it has to be replaced. The sensor is pretty cheap and easy to install, so you won’t have any problems here.
