Bosch dishwasher error code E19

There are some codes of the errors in the Bosch self-diagnostic system, that do not have an exact definition, and the E19 code is one of those. So if you noticed this alphanumeric combination of the display of your Bosch appliance, it is recommended to contact a professional repairman, who will be able to properly diagnose your appliance and repair or replace the elements which are out of order.

What can cause the E19 Error?

There’s nothing about the E19 Error in the manual, as for the websites, some dif-ferentiate the code as the one, related to the work of the circulation pump, while others say it is a mistake of the water-heating process.

In the case of the pump, there are two possible explanations — the malfunction of the whole element or its wiring. As for the heating, most likely the code reflects the malfunction of the valve, which is located in the heat-exchanger of your device.

How to fix the E19 Error?

Of course, there is always a possibility of a one-time system glitch, and to eliminate it, reboot your device, letting it rest for 15 minutes. If you still see the code after plugging and switching your device back on, you should check both the pump and the heat exchanger in order to determine the cause of the error and try to fix it.

Bosch dishwasher error code E19 pump

The pump has to be checked with a multimeter and replaced if needed. To get to it you have to first disconnect the drain filter, which is placed inside the tank of your machine. Then turn your device upside-down on and take off the bottom panel. De-tach the pump and carefully inspect it.

As for the heater, remove the left panel to get to it. Check it for visible signs of damage and examine the drain valve. It can be easily detached by turning it clock-wise and pulling out. If you see that the components are faulty, replace it with the new one.
