If there is the IE fault code on your washing machine’s display, it is not filling properly. Not unlikely, water supply taps are half-open, or water pressure in the entire water supply system has dropped. In winter, this may happen due to a frozen water pipe. Also, this may be due to a kinked or clogged inlet hose or filter.
Number 1: Faulty water inlet valve
The valve should open freely to let water into the washing machine. If it is not working properly, it may slow down or stop water inflow. If the pressure in the water supply system is too low, the valve will not function properly. Therefore, it is advisable to check the water pressure first. If the pressure is all right, clean the screens. They are located inside the connection units. If the filling does not improve, replace the valve.
Number 2: low water pressure from house supply
If the water pressure in the water supply system drops below 20 psi, the water inlet valve will not function properly. Make sure there is sufficient water pressure in the system.
