In case there are issues with the heating element of your Siemens device, the machine will indicate the E01 Error code on its display. Sometimes the cycle can be terminated, sometimes it keeps going, but the water can not be heated properly. The problem is possible to fix on your own if to determine the cause right.
What can cause the E01 Error?
Besides the system glitch, which can be eliminated after rebooting the device, there is a shortlist of possible explanations for the E01 Error code appearance on the control board:
- The malfunction of the heating element;
- Poor connection of the heater with the main module;
- The thermostat is out of order.
How to fix the E01 Error?
So obviously the thing you have to start with is the heating element and it’s wire connections. To find it, unplug the machine from the main and pull it out of its niche. Take all the trays and baskets out, detach the hosepipe and nozzles, and turn the machine upside-down. Now you can remove the back panel of the appliance and get access to the pump. After removing the pump, disconnect all the heating element’s wires and take them off.
Check all the contacts — replace the burnt-out ones and clean the oxidized. If some wires are loosened — tighten them up. If the problem is not with the wiring, then replace the heater with the new one, repeating all the steps in the reverse order.
