If there is the E25 Error code that appeared on the display of your Siemens dish-washing device, this means the system is earning you about the issues with the drain system. In simple words, this alphanumeric combination says that your machine can not let the water out.
What can cause the E25 Error?
By showing the E25 code your appliance informs you that one of the elements of the drain system (pump, hose, filter) is clogged. In some models, it may not be a connection pipe, but its base, where the drain hose pipe is connected to the pump. Another possible explanation for this Error is that the drain pump is blocked or the pump cover is missing.
The impeller of the pump can be blocked by some foreign object or garbage. This error is most often caused by litter and food scraps when the user disregards the simple operating instructions of the machine.
How to fix the E25 Error?
When a Siemens dishwashing appliance gives out the E25 combination, it signals the following elements should be checked for clogs and grease plugs:
- drain filter;
- drain pump;
- drain hose;
But first of all, switch your device off and unplug it from the socket for ten minutes in order to eliminate the possibility of the system glitch. If the code is still indicated on the display after you switched the washer on again, you need to start looking for a clogged component.
Check the hosepipe and the drain filter for damages and clogs, rinse them thoroughly with special brushes. To get to the filter you will need to open the door of your dishwasher and take off all the trays and baskets.
After you cleaned the filter and the hosepipe, unscrew the impeller and clean it carefully, as there might be some food or greases on it.
