Whirlpool duet washer f1 error code

Whirlpool duet washer f1 error code

If you see the 1 fault code on your washer’s display, you get some bad news: you won’t start a cycle or complete the current one. However, there are ways out of it. The code means that there is lack of communication between the motor and the control board.

Now, fixing it: reset your washer. All you need to do is disconnect it from the mains, wait about 15 minutes, and then reconnect it. If the problem persists, the control board needs to be replaced. Remove it using a Phillips screwdriver and a ¼” hex head driver. Do not do any repair without being sure that the machine is unplugged!

When you have disconnected your washer from the mains, pull it away from the wall very carefully (there are a drain hose and inlet hoses), and undo the 3 screws on the back. Before unplugging the main control board, take a picture of it or jot down all connections. Unplug all connections and the pressure tube. Undo the ¼ screw and remove the faulty control board. Install the new one and follow the above steps in the reverse order. The F1 error will disappear with the new control board.
