When the “LD” error code appears on the display of a Whirlpool washer, it typically means that the drain period is longer than acceptable and, therefore, there’s a problem with the drain hose installation or there is an object inside the hose. Refer to the video for visual instructions.
In most cases, to fix the washing machine, you’ll need to check whether the drain hose is installed right and whether it is free. Sometimes, fixing your washing machine will be as easy as just stretching out a kink on the drain hose.
